The lighting of the first Chanukah candle in the Great Synagogue in Kishinev, Moldova, was an spectacular event.

Chanukah Menorahs have been distributed all over Moldova, where the chief rabbi is Rabbi Zalman Abelsky.

Many Jews participated in the Menorah lighting in the capital, Chisinau, where the first candle was lit.

The Chanukah party, which was hosted by the Great Synagogue – Chabad Lubavitch, Kishinev, was led by Rabbi Zalman Abelsky Chief Rabbi of Moldova.

Students who this year joined the university of Kishinev Moldova are receiving help by the synagogue members to keep the laws of Judaism.

For the past month, Rabbi Zalman Abelsky, Chief Rabbi of Moldova, along with Rabbi Levy Ableksy from New York and Rabbi Levy Abelsky from Israel have been putting on tefillin, placing mezuzos, and teaching students from universities in Moldova, the guidelines of the holidays.

The holiday of Succot was celebrated in Kishinev with a lot of excitement. It was lead by Rabbi Zalman Abelsky, chief rabbi of Moldova. A lot of succos were built by the synagogue and many more places throughout Moldova. During the holiday, many hot, delicious meals were served in the succah outside the synagogue.

Chabad Activities held in downtown Moldova’s capital Kishinev, preserving the historical culture and traditions of all people living in Moldova, Ukrainians, Russians, Bulgarians, Greeks, Belarusians, Poles, Lithuanians, and Jews.

Vandalism defacing a Chisinau synagogue was “shocking” and did not reflect the opinion of most Moldovans, a top lawmaker said Wednesday, according to an Infotag news agency report. 

Workers at the main synagogue in the Moldovan capital Chisinau on Sunday found drawings of anti-Semitic symbols sometimes used by ethnic Romanian nationalists in the former Soviet republic near the building’s entrance.

Worshipers were shocked to see swastikas and hate graffiti at the entrance to the Chabad synagogue in Kishinev, Moldova.

Congregants at Moldova’s largest synagogue were horrified to find hate graffiti and swastikas sprayed onto the walls of their house of worship.

The synagogue is located of Chabad Lubavitch Street, in the center of the city.

The hate-crime has shocked the population since the city has seen very little Antisemitism.
