REBBE’S SHELIACH IN 770, NEW YORK
From 24 Sivan to 3 Tamuz Rav Menachem Mendel Axelrod was with the Rebbe in 770 New York. 770 Eastern Parkway – the center of the cultural and religious life of the followers of Chabad. He went there to replenish his spiritual strength and pass it to the community of Kishinev.
Why is it so important to come to the Rebbe? Because the Rebbe wakes up Jewish souls. We, chassidim, are strongly connected with our Rebbe. If a chassid doesn’t go to the Rebbe at least once a year where would he get strength for the righteous and pious life? Who if not our Rebbe could help us in our spiritual growth! After all you should’t do the work of a sheliach just technically. You need to be uplifted and inspired!
For Rabbi Axelerod house where Rebbe lives (770 Eastern Parkway) is a place where G-dly presence is felt and it’s the best place on Earth.
Rav Menachem Mendel Axelerod is happy because despite some of the difficulties he managed to get to New York. It has a very big importance for the community and for the brothers who asked to pray for the health and well-being. Because meeting with the Rebbe and brothers in spirit, and a time spent with chassidim at farbrengens gives an incredible spiritual uplift and strength for doing a very important mission of Shluchim of the Rebbe in Moldova.
