Mr Ion Mocanu, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Moldova for Relations with Religious Denominations, visited the offices of the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, Mr Alexander Bilinkis, President of the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova, and Rabbi Menahem Mendel Axelrod, Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova and Chabad emissary in Moldova, discussed Jewish communal life in Moldova, institutional and religious activity, and the importance of preserving Jewish identity, tradition, and heritage.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of strengthening dialogue between state institutions and religious communities, as well as continuing joint efforts based on democratic values and in line with the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
The visit provided an important opportunity for open dialogue, mutual understanding, and the continued development of cooperation between the Jewish community and state institutions.
