Jewish communities throughout Moldova prepared for Pesach this year and made sure that Jews around the country received kosher food.
For this reason, wine that was kosher for Pesach was produced over a few months beforehand, and boxes of the wine were then dispatched to Jewish communities around the country.
The wine was produced under the supervision of Rabbi Zalman Abelsky, Chief Rabbi of Moldova, especially for the Jewish community and was marketed among the country’s various Jewish organizations and communities.
In fact, wine produced in Moldova from local grapes is known for its good taste and is considered to be among the best wines in the world, and it is sold throughout the CIS and Israel under kashrus supervision.
