A seminar for Jewish youth from Ukraine and Moldova (Jewish Service Corps Fellows) took place this week in Moldova. During the seminar, participants enhanced their professional skills through peer-led learning sessions, met with the local community, and learned about the work of the JDC in Moldova.
As part of the visit, the participants toured the Central Chabad Synagogue in Chișinău, explored the entire synagogue complex, and also visited the beautiful Mikvah Liel, which was built not long ago. The participants heard explanations and insights from Rabbi Shmuel Zalmanov and Rabbi Zushe Abelsky — a meaningful experience connecting them to the past, present, and future of Jewish life in the region.
