An Uplifting Visit by Rabbi Yehoshua Shimon Brizel Shlit”a at the Central Chabad Synagogue of Kishinev

Today, we were privileged to receive an important and uplifting visit at the Central Chabad Synagogue of Kishinev, Moldova.

It was a great honor and pleasure to welcome the distinguished guest, HaGaon HaChassid Rabbi Yehoshua Shimon Brizel shlit”a, Rabbi of the Pri Ha’aretz neighborhood and Rabbi of the main Karlin-Stolin Beis Midrash in Givat Ze’ev, one of the respected rabbinic figures of the Karlin-Stolin Chassidic community.

Rabbi Brizel shlit”a was traveling on a sacred journey of prayer to the resting place of the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Aharon II of Karlin zy”a, the author of Beis Aharon, who is buried in the town of Malinov, today in the Drohobych region of western Ukraine, ahead of his yahrtzeit on the 17th of Sivan.

During his journey, the Rabbi stopped in our community for Shacharis. For our community, this was a special merit and a meaningful moment of inspiration and spiritual strengthening, as such a distinguished guest joined the Jews of Kishinev in prayer at the Central Synagogue.

The visit reflected the warm and deep bond between Jewish communities everywhere, and the special privilege of the Chabad community in Kishinev to serve as a welcoming home for Jews of all backgrounds and communities.

We thank the Creator of the world for the merit of being a home of prayer, Torah, and Ahavas Yisroel, open with a warm heart to every Jew.
