Ahead of Yom Kippur, Chabad emissary in Bender Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gotzel visited members of the Jewish community in Rybnitsa.
During the visit, Rabbi Gotzel met with local Jews, spoke with them about the approaching holy day, shared words of encouragement and helped participants fulfill the mitzvah of tefillin.
The visit was part of Chabad’s ongoing effort to reach Jews living in cities and communities that do not have a full range of daily Jewish services. The gathering in Rybnitsa strengthened the connection with the local community and its bond with Jewish tradition ahead of Yom Kippur and the new year.
