Chabad Children Prepare for Shavuot with an Educational Visit to a Dairy Farm

Ahead of the holiday of Shavuot, the children of Chabad Studio went on a special and hands-on visit to a dairy farm, where they had the opportunity to learn about the animals that provide milk — the basis for many of the beloved dairy foods traditionally enjoyed on Shavuot.

The children were excited to meet the cows up close, look into their big gentle eyes, pet them, play with the little calves, and see what life on an active farm looks like from the inside.

During the visit, the children learned how the milking process works and how the milk travels from the cow to large storage tanks before being sent for further processing.

The trip gave the children a joyful and educational experience filled with curiosity, new impressions, and valuable knowledge. They met not only cows and calves, but also buffaloes and their young, and learned how a modern dairy farm operates today.

It was a fun, meaningful, and inspiring day — a beautiful preparation for Shavuot, the holiday of the Giving of the Torah and the beloved dairy traditions.
