In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Rabbi Shneur Tiefenbrun and Chana Tiefenbrun, Chabad-Lubavitch Shluchim to the Republic of Moldova, visited a Jewish cemetery in Chișinău as part of the “Every Candle Is a Name” project organized by Jewish Heritage Moldova.
They lit candles in memory of those who perished in the Holocaust — each flame representing a life, a story, and a name that must never be forgotten.
Standing among the graves, it became clear once again that remembrance is not only about honoring the past, but about accepting responsibility for the future. Through mitzvot, acts of kindness, and the strengthening of Jewish life, we honor the souls who were taken from us and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that their legacy lives on.
